Long ago, in an age now lost to myth, there existed a solitary being — the Ancient. It wove Essence into the world's veins, nurtured all life, then died.

And with its death, the world fractured.

Now monsters crawl from the wound it left behind. The Essence that once sustained all things has become the currency of survival — seized by force, hoarded by the strong, denied to the rest.

Into this shattered world, Mika wakes — alone on a desolate shore, soaked in rain and silence. He carries memories that don't belong to this place, and an instinct for violence he cannot yet name. Armed with nothing but a wooden sword and a refusal to die, he steps into a land where everything — the forests, the creatures, the people — wants him gone.
